Where Margaritaville Cap Cana sits and where we stop
Margaritaville Island Reserve Cap Cana sits inside the gated Cap Cana development, so the run from PUJ has two distinct stages: the highway approach, then the enclave itself. Every vehicle heading here passes the Cap Cana main checkpoint, where the guard checks the guest name against the booking list before lifting the barrier — nothing is paid or negotiated there. Past the checkpoint the road becomes an internal boulevard shared by several resorts and residential clusters, and it takes a genuine few minutes of driving before the Margaritaville turn-in appears, not a quick turn right after the gate. We register the property name with the checkpoint in advance so the guard already expects the car, and the driver takes the boulevard stretch without guessing at each junction. From PUJ the whole trip runs 10 to 15 minutes, most of it inside Cap Cana rather than on the open highway.
