What "Bávaro" actually means here
Bávaro is the long hotel strip north of the airport, running from Cabeza de Toro up to Arena Gorda. Locals use it as an umbrella name for El Cortecito — the small beach town with the fishing boats and the pedestrian street — and Los Corales, the low-rise apartment and villa area behind Playa Los Corales. The same Standard rate covers the large all-inclusive resorts along that strip as well as private apartments and villas inside Los Corales, as long as the drop-off is reachable by car. Anything past the Arena Gorda border is a different zone and a different price, so we confirm the hotel name in writing before the driver is assigned.
