Where Riu Palace Bávaro sits and where we stop

Riu Palace Bávaro is one of several RIU hotels — including Riu Palace Punta Cana and Riu Bambú — sharing one entrance road at the northern end of the Bávaro strip. All vehicles pass the same guarded checkpoint before splitting onto internal lanes that lead to each hotel's separate lobby, so the booking name and exact property are both sent ahead to avoid the vehicle being routed to a neighbouring RIU reception. Once past the checkpoint, it is a short internal drive to the Riu Palace Bávaro lobby specifically. The run from PUJ is 20 to 30 minutes on the main highway before the turn into the shared RIU access road, and the drop-off point is the Palace Bávaro reception, distinct from the other two RIU lobbies on the same road.

How the pickup works

2. 2We track the flight, so a delay or an early landing does not change anything.
3. 3Your driver waits in arrivals with a name sign, just past customs.
4. 4Direct 20–30 minute drive to the shared RIU entrance and on to the Palace Bávaro lobby.

Bigger groups and luggage

Up to six passengers ride in one Standard vehicle at $35. For 7–14 passengers we send a passenger van: +$20 on Standard, +$40 on VIP. Send the luggage count with the booking — golf bags, strollers and car seats are all fine, we just size the vehicle before the day instead of at the curb.
