Car seats, boosters and what to tell us
Car seats are provided on request and fitted before pickup, at no extra charge. What we need from you is the child's age and approximate weight for each seat — that is what determines whether it is an infant carrier, a convertible seat or a booster. Send it with the booking rather than on the day, because seats are allocated per vehicle in the morning.
You are also welcome to bring your own seat. It travels free in the trunk and the driver will help fit it. Many parents prefer their own for the airline legs anyway.

Strollers, luggage and the space you actually need
A family of four with two large suitcases, two carry-ons and a stroller does not fit comfortably in a standard SUV once a car seat is installed. This is the most common under-booking we see. Tell us the stroller — travel buggy or full pram makes a real difference — and we size the vehicle accordingly, usually at the same zone rate.
Landing at night with children
A large share of European and Canadian arrivals land at PUJ after 9pm. The drive is the easy part: the road to Bávaro and Cap Cana is well surfaced and traffic is light at night, so the night run is often faster than the afternoon one. The hard part is the 25 to 45 minutes between wheels-down and the arrivals door, with tired children and a baggage belt.
Practical advice from the desk: keep one small bag with water, wipes and a change of clothes in hand luggage, do the nappy change in the terminal rather than the car park, and message us on WhatsApp once you are through immigration so the vehicle is already pulled up when you reach the walkway.
The supermarket stop most families want
If you are staying in a villa, condo or non-all-inclusive apartment, ask for a supermarket stop on the way from the airport. Twenty to thirty minutes at a supermarket near your zone means water, nappies, milk and breakfast are in the apartment on night one instead of being a problem at 7am. - Do car seats cost extra?
- No. Seats are provided and fitted free of charge. We just need each child's age and approximate weight in advance so the right seat is in the vehicle.
- Do children count towards the passenger limit?
- Yes, for seating and safety — an infant in a carrier still occupies a seat. But children do not change the price: the rate is per vehicle, not per person.
- Can I bring my own car seat?
- Absolutely. It travels free and the driver will help install it. Many families prefer their own seat because they need it for the flight anyway.
- We land at 11pm with a baby. Is that a problem?
- Not for us. Night pickups cost the same as daytime pickups, the drive is usually quicker, and the seat is already fitted. Message us when you clear immigration and the vehicle meets you at the walkway.
- Can we stop at a supermarket on the way to the villa?
- Yes, and most villa guests do. It adds roughly 20 to 30 minutes and a small fixed waiting charge, quoted before you travel.
