Punta Cana Village is not Bávaro
This is the cluster closest to the terminal, and it gets confused with Bávaro constantly — they are different places with different prices. Punta Cana Village is the residential town beside the airport: the plaza with the supermarket, bakeries, pharmacies, the school and a strip of restaurants that locals and long-stay guests actually use. Behind it sits Puntacana Resort & Club, which holds The Westin Puntacana, Tortuga Bay, the Four Points area, the golf courses and the Playa Blanca beach club, plus the private villas along the fairways. Everything on that side of the airport road is 10 to 15 minutes from arrivals and is quoted at the $29 Standard rate. The Bávaro strip is a separate, longer run north and is priced accordingly, so name your property when you book.
