When we recommend leaving Bávaro

Our own recommendation for the Bávaro strip is a lobby pickup 3 hours before your flight time. That is not an airline rule — it is what we plan around after driving this route daily. It covers the 20–30 minute drive, the resort gate and the checkout queue that always takes longer than guests expect, plus the airline counter and security at PUJ, which bunch up badly in the late-morning and mid-afternoon departure waves. If you are travelling in a group of six or more, or leaving on a Sunday or Monday when the strip empties out at once, we will usually suggest another 20 to 30 minutes on top. Tell us the flight number when you book and we confirm the exact pickup time back to you in writing so nobody is guessing in the lobby.

Resort gate and lobby pickup

The driver arrives before the agreed time and waits at the main lobby entrance with your name. In Los Corales and the villa communities the car is registered at the community gate in advance, so send the villa number and we handle the barrier before pickup rather than at it.

Luggage and bigger groups

Suitcases, strollers, golf bags and surf boards are all fine — tell us the luggage count with the booking so the right vehicle turns up. Six passengers with six large cases is a van job, not an SUV, and we would rather size it now than at your door.

Night and early-morning departures

Early-morning and late-night departures are the norm here and cost the same as a midday run. For a 6 a.m. flight that means a 3 a.m. lobby pickup; we confirm it the evening before by WhatsApp so you know the car is coming.
