Secrets La Romana sits on the Dominicus beach strip near Bayahibe, not in La Romana town, and that naming quirk decides both the route and the rate. The run from PUJ is 60 to 75 minutes west on the Coral highway, past Higüey, then onto the Dominicus beach road and through the shared checkpoint that serves the resorts along it. It is billed at the Bayahibe/Dominicus rate of $110 Standard or $179 VIP, not the La Romana rate, because the drop-off point is on the Dominicus side. As an adults-only property it has its own reception, a short way past the checkpoint. On a drive this long the practical advantage of a private car is that nothing else is scheduled around you: the driver waits for your actual landing time and goes straight there.

How the pickup works

Bigger groups and luggage

Up to six passengers ride in one Standard vehicle at $110. For 7–14 passengers we send a passenger van: +$20 on Standard, +$40 on VIP. Send the luggage count with the booking — golf bags, strollers and car seats are all fine, we just size the vehicle before the day instead of at the curb.
