The rate covers the whole city as travellers actually use it: the Zona Colonial hotels around Calle Las Damas and Plaza España, the Malecón strip along George Washington, Piantini and Naco apartments, Bella Vista, Gazcue and the Agora area. The drive itself is a steady 2.5 hours on the Autovía del Este; what varies is the last twenty minutes, since entering the capital between 16:00 and 19:00 on a weekday is slower than any other part of the trip. We build that into the timing rather than pretending it does not exist. The Colonial Zone deserves one warning: several streets are pedestrian or one-way cobblestone, so the driver uses the nearest legal stop and walks your bags to the door instead of circling for twenty minutes. Send the hotel name or a pin and we agree the drop point before the car leaves Punta Cana.

City hotels drop at the entrance. In the Zona Colonial we use the closest legal stop to your door — the streets there are narrow, cobbled and partly pedestrian — and the driver carries the bags the last few metres.

Bigger groups

7–14 passengers ride in a passenger van: +$20 on Standard, +$40 on VIP for this zone. Golf bags, strollers, wheelchairs and surf gear are fine — give us the luggage count and we send the right vehicle instead of guessing at the curb.
