Where Club Med Miches sits and where we stop

Club Med Miches Playa Esmeralda sits on the far north-east coast, and guests routinely underestimate it: it is 90 to 150 minutes from PUJ, not the half-hour hop most Punta Cana packages describe. The car runs north past Macao and Uvero Alto, then turns west onto the coast road, where the last stretch is scenic, hilly and slow behind a truck. Club Med checks arrivals against its own guest list at the property entrance, so we send the driver and vehicle details with the booking and the barrier is a formality rather than a conversation. Guests on the Exclusive Collection side are dropped at the correct reception rather than the main one — tell us which package you are on. There is no taxi rank at this end of the island, so a car has to be arranged before you land.

How the pickup works

1. 1Send your flight number, date and party size on WhatsApp — we confirm the price in writing.
2. 2We track the flight, so a delay or an early landing does not change anything.
3. 3Your driver waits in arrivals with a name sign, just past customs.
4. 4Direct 90–150 minute drive north past Uvero Alto and west along the coast road to the Club Med Miches reception.

Bigger groups and luggage

Up to six passengers ride in one Standard vehicle at $35. For 7–14 passengers we send a passenger van: +$20 on Standard, +$40 on VIP. Send the luggage count with the booking — golf bags, strollers and car seats are all fine, we just size the vehicle before the day instead of at the curb.
