Joia Bávaro by Iberostar sits inside the large Iberostar beachfront complex in Bávaro, which is a single access road serving several separate hotels with separate check-ins. The rebranding makes it worse: guests holding a reservation under an older Iberostar name arrive expecting a different door, and a driver working from a half-name drops at whichever lobby comes first. We take the name exactly as printed on your reservation, confirm it in writing, and the driver stops at the Joia Bávaro reception. The run from PUJ is 20 to 30 minutes at the Bávaro rate of $35 Standard and $79 VIP, per vehicle for one to six passengers. If your booking turns out to be at the neighbouring Iberostar property the price does not change — only the door — so send the name and we adjust it before the day rather than at the barrier.

How the pickup works

2. 2We track the flight, so a delay or an early landing does not change anything.
3. 3Your driver waits in arrivals with a name sign, just past customs.
4. 4Direct 20–30 minute drive into the Iberostar complex and drop-off at the Joia Bávaro reception.

Bigger groups and luggage

Up to six passengers ride in one Standard vehicle at $35. For 7–14 passengers we send a passenger van: +$20 on Standard, +$40 on VIP. Send the luggage count with the booking — golf bags, strollers and car seats are all fine, we just size the vehicle before the day instead of at the curb.
