Where Excellence sits and where we stop

Excellence Punta Cana is the adults-oriented resort on the Uvero Alto strip, and it is the only Excellence this page covers. The group runs properties elsewhere in the Dominican Republic, so a search for "Excellence transfer" can easily return the wrong resort, the wrong region and a price that has nothing to do with your ride. From PUJ this is a 45 to 60 minute drive north, past Macao, into an area with long dark stretches between resorts. Once past the gate the internal road is short, and we stop at the lobby. Because the strip is isolated there is no realistic taxi fallback at 1am, which is why we track the flight and hold the driver however late you land. If your booking is actually at another Excellence property, send the full name on WhatsApp and we quote that route separately.

Bigger groups and luggage

Up to six passengers ride in one Standard vehicle at $60. For 7–14 passengers we send a passenger van: +$20 on Standard, +$40 on VIP. Send the luggage count with the booking — golf bags, strollers and car seats are all fine, we just size the vehicle before the day instead of at the curb.

Per vehicle. $60 Standard covers 1–6 passengers with luggage in one private car, taxes and tolls included — the same figure whether you are two people or six. VIP is $119 for the same group in a luxury SUV or executive van. Groups of 7–14 move to a passenger van: +$20 on Standard, +$40 on VIP.
How long is the drive from PUJ to Excellence Punta Cana?
45–60 min in normal traffic. 45 to 60 minutes up the coastal road, with the resort gate set back from the highway. The car is yours alone, so there are no other pickups or hotel stops on the way.
Where does the driver meet us at Excellence Punta Cana?
In the PUJ arrivals hall with a name sign, then drop-off at the Excellence Punta Cana lobby in Uvero Alto. Confirm the full resort name if you booked a different Excellence property.
Is Uvero Alto 20 minutes from the airport?
No. Uvero Alto is 45–60 min from PUJ — the far north end of the coast, well past Macao. Listings that describe it as "near Bávaro" or "20 minutes from the airport" are wrong, and shared shuttles on this strip often stop at two or three other resorts first. Your private car goes straight to Excellence Punta Cana.
Is this the same price as Bávaro?
No — Uvero Alto is $60 Standard and $119 VIP one-way per vehicle, while Bávaro hotels are $35 Standard and $79 VIP. Uvero Alto is farther than Bávaro, so the rate is $60 / $119, not $35 / $79. If your booking is actually at a Bávaro resort, tell us the property name on WhatsApp and we quote the Bávaro rate instead.
