Excellence El Carmen is the Uvero Alto property with its own gate on the far north strip, and it is a different hotel from Excellence Punta Cana even though both are in the same area and both are adults-only. Guests booking one and quoting the other is routine, so we take the full name from your reservation and confirm the resort and the price in writing before the day. The drive from PUJ is a real 45 to 60 minutes: past Macao, along a coastal road with long dark stretches and almost no commercial frontage. This is not a Bávaro suburb, whatever the booking page implied, and the rate is $60 Standard, $119 VIP per vehicle. Night arrivals are the norm here and cost nothing extra — we track the flight and the driver waits in arrivals with a sign.

Is Uvero Alto 20 minutes from the airport?
